Love, love, LOVE this time of year!

The weather is warm, the trees have budded, flowers are gracing us with their beauty. The boys are out of school and we are having a blast!

We went to the spray park with some friends this afternoon. My friend Lyz has 2 boys and a girl. M is a year younger than Bryce. When we all sat down picnic style, after running through the water fountains like maniacs for a couple of hours, for a snack, Bryce made sure to set up a towel just for M. She sat quite close to him, and he was thrilled. He leaned over to her and says, "M, I love you just so much. My heart is full for you." Lyz and I almost started crying, he was so sweet. M looks over at Bryce and says "Yeah", grins hugely and shrugs her shoulders. Bryce then told her he was going to marry her. M agreed. It was the cutest thing I have ever witnessed. Bryce was over the moon and hasn't quit talking about his "sweet girl" all afternoon. It is too adorable.

After the Spray park, I took the boys home for some ice cream sandwiches in the backyard before we headed out to get some Avon books out. I have been so busy with my photography business, Avon has kind of taken a back burner. So, I promised myself to get back into it, since it does make me pretty good money. And, the exercise is good for all of us as we walk around the neighborhoods hanging up books.

Trav was home when we got home, and we decided to go out to dinner. It's hot, the boys were fantastic today, and I really didn't want to mess up my clean house. After dinner, we headed home and decided to walk over to the park. However, while everyone was going potty and getting ready, Brady decided to head out on his own. (Mind you, we live across a parking lot from the school. However, he knows better than to leave the backyard.) His consequence was that he had to stay home with daddy. I took Bryce and his bike out for a little practice (we are still working on coordination. The child is still the clumsiest person alive, falling down standing completely still on a regular basis. Making his feet work in opposite directions is quite challenging for him. But, he is doing awesome and finally getting the hang of it!) We rode around the school and stopped for some play time at the big boy park. It was a nice mommy and Bugs bonding time. He surprised me with how strong he was by making it all the way across the monkey bars by himself. A game of tag, swinging on the swings, and several slide rides later, we decided to head home. It was starting to get dark and the mosquitoes were starting to eat me alive.

Me: Bugs, let's head home. The skeeters are out and I forgot to spray us before we left.
Bryce: Not yet, Mama. They aren't biting me.
Me: *slapping two mosquitoes at once* Really? Cause they are eating me up!
Bryce: Nope, they don't bite me. I am Brycie the Bug Catcher!

He was quite impressed with himself. I was impressed with how well he rode his bike all the way home, only needing my help to push him once. He really is growing up so fast. it makes MY heart full to think about it.
