How YOUS doin? (for the Butte girls, hehe)

Life is busy again. But, we are having fun, at least. The weather has been glorious and we have been enjoying every second of it. Until today. It snowed . . . errr, whatever they call it here. When it snows in South Dakota, it does so horizontally. Not those fat, fluffy flakes falling ever so gently to the ground that I am used to. Nope, it pretty much blasts you straight in the face, making said body part, and anything else that dares to breech the confines of the 500 layers of clothing you have stacked upon your self, feel like it is on fire. Which is ironic, actually, since it is SNOW making you feel this way. Let's hope it melts tomorrow and gets back into the 40s!

Anyway, we have been busy playing in the backyard, walking new neighborhoods to put my books out, and generally just enjoying ourselves. The boys are doing great. Bryce is excited for his birthday next week and Brady insists he needs to have another one. I have a feeling the party is going to be, ummm, interesting, when it comes to present time.

Brady is doing awesome with his new school. He now knows his colors and shapes. He still only counts to one, but can now do so in Spanish, as well. (HA! How many moms brag about that??? lol). So, instead of hearing "oooooonnne" all the time, we get to hear "UUUUUno!" as well. But, the best part, the ABSOLUTE best thing this lil man has done in the past month is potty train himself. In 2 days. He literally went from refusing to wear anything BUT a diaper to only wearing underwear. And we have had NO accidents. He continues to impress me daily. His speech has quadrupled and we have regular conversations now. It really, truly is awesome.

Bryce is doing just as well as Brady. He continues to crack me up all the time with his infamous zingers. His latest is to ask me "I am a freaking genius, am I mama?" I don't know why, but this simple little question makes me giggle every time he asks. Of course, I tell him he IS a freaking genius, and I am glad he has great self esteem. He is totally gearing up for kindergarten this Fall. I am excited for his excitement, but I know it is going to KILL me taking him to the big boy school. His newest accomplishment is learning to tie his shoes. He is still working on the swoop and pull part, but is almost there. It has added an extra 20 minutes to our getting out of the house time. It is a GREAT lesson in patience for mom. Especially since he insists on doing it himself so he can "be an olive gardner".

Now that you are all caught up on where we are at, I PROMISE to try and update this much more often! ;)
