Ok, in the past 4 weeks, we have had four people with H1N1, followed by bouts of bronchitis, pneumonia, and all sorts of other hacking, couching, om-my-god my lungs are on fire types of illnesses. I am so done with cold and flu season this year, it isn't even funny. And, we are only at the beginning of it. Needless to say, I have officially become a hand washing/bleach everything, no you can't come to my house if you even think about sneezing Nazi. And, frankly, I am okay with that.
On top of ALL of that, I started my new job at the hotel. Of course, the training part of ANY job is rigorous, but this is totally kicking my ass. I am going to be working Friday and Saturday nights as a night auditor. I will also be covering the front desk. Now, typically, a front desk is quiet between the hours of 11pm and 7 am. However, as we all know, people are strange, and strange things happen in the middle of the night. So, the powers that be have seen fit to ensure that I am 100% fully ready for my job as a solo artist. What this means for me is working non stop, 24 hours a day for the past month. And, with being sick and taking care of sick people, I am exhausted. My brain is officially fried. And I am in desperate need of a vacation involving lots of sun, sand, and cabana boys bringing me large drinks with umbrellas in them. And, while I am gone, please see fit to clean the house and finish the fifteen hundred loads of laundry that have piled up this month, thank you. Oh! And the dishes (oh, the dishes!). My dishwasher broke, thanks to my helpful husband's handyman (dis)abilities, so I have been hand washing dishes for what seems like years now. Of course, the new one won't be in until next month, so, though there is an end in sight soon, it isn't happening soon enough.
So, to all of my faithful blog readers and followers, I know I have been neglectful. Bear with me. I have been making HUGE changes in my life lately and, in the end, it will be fully beneficial to all of you but, mostly for me. And soon, very soon, you will see more of me. Until then, bear with me.
