Below Zero is for Penguins not Kwiecinskis

Not much to report today.  The kids have been home from school all week because of the amazing amounts of snow we continue to get, the wind that never ceases blowing it all over the roads and making them impassable, and the continually decreasing subzero temperatures.  It's been a long week.  

In addition to school being cancelled, so have all of their extracurricular activities.  They have been bored out of their minds and, honestly, watching far too much telelvision.  So, I planned a playdate.  I invited a group of my friends over for coffee and blueberry cake and told them to bring their critters with them.  The kids played all morning and the mommies got to sit in my living room and enjoy adult conversation.  It was f-a-b-u-l-o-u-s!  The boys were good and played out by the end of the afternoon and, since it was far too cold to do anything outdoors and I had to work tonight, were more than willing to watch a movie so I could snooze on the couch until Trav came home.

And now, here I am.  At work.  Finished my audit and I have two hours to go before my shift ends.  It's 26 below zero outside.  I am pretty sure we won't be doing anything today, either.  Maybe a quick trip to the bar library might be in order.
