Whew! What a busy day, today! We got up early this morning and met some friends to go to playgroup in town. The boys played pretty hard and had fun. They had some new trucks and tractors there, the kind you normally see in a sandbox outside. Since we are building the boys a gigantic sandbox, after playgroup, we stopped at Cambell's to check out their truck selection. They had a great sale on the big Tonka trucks, so I got a couple of them before we headed home for lunch.
After lunch, the boys took a 3 hour nap. It was nice, as I was able to get some laundry done and have a couple of hours of quiet solitude. The weather was gorgeous (in the mid 60's) all day so I sat on my deck with a soda and a book and just enjoyed the afternoon. Once the boys were up, we played outside for a bit before getting ready to head back into town for a BBQ with the friends we had met up with this morning. That was when things took a turn for the worst. The boys were super hyper throughout dinner and playtime, they had trouble listening, and I finally packed them up for home at 7. I think they knew I was upset at their behavior, as they were pretty quiet on the ride home. We got home, they took their baths, and were in bed by 830. I am not sure if it was the relaxing afternoon I had or the super busy and stressful evening, but I am exhausted!
The dishwasher guy called this afternoon and my new soap dispenser is in, so he will be here first thing in the morning to replace it. Now, hopefully, I can use the dishwasher and the dishes will be clean! Other than laundry, there is nothing more that I hate than dishes in a sink. Having to wash them by hand sucks even worse. Speaking of which, I had better get the few sippies washed up and put away so the kitchen looks nice before the repairman comes.
