The boys have not been feeling well this week. It started this past Sunday with Bryce having a hoarse voice. He woke up Monday with a stuffy nose and the sneezes. Brady woke up yesterday the same way, except his nose much more disgusting. They insisted on sleeping with us last night and took turns moaning, coughing, and, in general, keeping me up all night. The poor critters have just been laying around and coughing today. If they aren't feeling better by tomorrow, off to the doctor we go. Especially since their coughs are starting to sound barky. With their history of RSV and bronchitis, I don't want to take the chance of it being something more serious.
Because he hasn't been feeling well, Brady has been super lovey dovey and is content to snuggle in with me every chance he gets. Bryce, of course, having always been my love bug, is happy as a clam to sit right next to his brother, sipping juice or milk and watching cartoons. I hope they don't get used to sitting around and watching TV all day. I am only allowing it because they don't feel well. We are turning the TV off for a few hours at a time and they will play or read books for a bit before I notice them hanging out on the couch more and more, almost as if I am torturing them to even move. Poor lil guys. So, we do some more snuggling and loving until I let their energy run up a bit and they can play a little more. We skipped playgroup today since I figured the other moms would NOT be happy with my kiddos sharing their germs. Bryce was upset this morning over having to miss it and kept telling me, in his stuffed up nose/hoarse voice "I am better, mommy, I promise, promise, promise! I feel good, I can go to playgroup". I explained that his icky nose was deceiving him, so he went and blew it and then asked to go. He is one determined critter!
Keep your fingers crossed they feel better in the morning.
Hope they get to feeling better.
ReplyDeleteWe are right there with you. What is the deal with all this sickness in May? You'd think it was cold and flu season. Hope & pray they are better very soon, and that Mama stays healthy.
