It's been a busy week! Between my sales meetings all week and then Trav working his side job when I get home, hand delivering 300 brochures with the boys and then following up on those, I haven't had much time to breathe, let alone keep up with the blog. Sorry about that.
We are FINALLY getting the fence up! In fact, Trav is working on it as I type. I mowed the lawn for him today so that he could run the fabric and then, while the boys were napping, cleaned the garage for him. He was pleasantly surprised. I am pleasantly exhausted! But, the satisfaction of having a clean house and a clean garage, as well as a decent looking lawn was worth it. Now to enjoy it without chasing the little critters all over the neighborhood! The fence should be done by tomorrow and I am SO excited!
Speaking of Brady, the ever quick Houdini who disappears in the blink of an eye, he has made some progress this weekend, as well. He has a new word "money", which cracks me up, because it comes out with a severe southern accent sound. But, he found a nickel on the garage floor and was proud to tell me "Moooneeehhhhhh". He has also been running around naked for the better part of the week, since he is showing some serious interest in the potty. However, he refuses to wear underwear and I refuse to waste money on pull ups (I did those with Bryce, only because he was in daycare. I think it just prolongs the training.) . Anyway, his nakedness has proven quite successful today. He has peed on the potty several times and even surprised me with a poopy! Yay! He is still pretty stubborn about it, though and will only get on the toilet on his terms. AKA - mom doesn't ask "Do you have to go potty?" or "Let's go sit on the potty!". Instead, he just wanders into the bathroom to sit on the toilet, flush it a few times, and unroll the toilet paper. Occasionally, he pees in it and I make a HUGE deal about it. He gets excited, claps his hands and goes into the kitchen to await his tootsie roll. I have to add, though, that I have to hide around the corner to listen for the tinkle, since, as soon as I go into the bathroom, he hops off the toilet and tells me "NO!". Funny, he is willing to walk all over the house and back yard naked as the day he was born, but has serious bathroom modesty. Silly boy.
So, other than trying to secretly potty train the ever stubborn toddler while running my pretty successful business and still remain the productive housewife and mommy I am, not much has been going on. Bryce is doing great, still working on writing his name with ALL of the letters (he likes to skip the C or E) and is learning to spell quite a few words. The questions still never end.
