Where is Spring???

Seriously, the locals have assured me that Spring is here. Hwoever, the 6 inches of snow that we got last night and are STILL getting is telling me that the locals either do not know what htey are talking about, or they are seriously deranged in regards to their idea of what Spring is. Spring, to me, is green grass, budding trees and flowers, birds singing, and baby animals bounding through the fields. The sun shines, with an occasional rainy day, and the warmth of the breezes bowing through open windows gets the excitement burning for the heat of Summer's promise. White flurries are no where in the picture! *hmph* I have also heard "well, snow in March won't last!" Really, you don't say? Because it certainly seems as if whoever is giving them this information is a jokester. The snow may melt, and we have a day or 2 of soggy muddy messes, but it comes back as soon as there is any hope of the mud drying up. I seriously think the weather gods are having fun with me. I thought that leaving the mountains meant I could actually enjoy some nice weather without the constant cold and snow. Guess I was wrong. grrrr! (more like brrrrrrrr!)

And, for those of you asking about Dorothy - she is doing great! Swimming around happily in her tank with her buddy, Spongebob. She is eating again, and seems to be back to her normal self. Well, except for the fact that her dorsal fin is gone, as are half her scales and her tail. But, the medicine cleared up her infection, and the fish doctor told us it would take a month or so for her scales and tail to grow back. I think it is helping that I have duct taped the tank lid onto the tank, the chairs are tied to the table, and everything else is either locked, tied down, or clamped shut, so the tornado has no way of getting to her!

  2. I didn't appreciate the Butte bashing over St. Patty Day fun, loser! I happened to be an attendee who thouroughy enjoys the drunken crowds! (And I'm a pretty good egg....!) But I guess I'll forgive you and we can still be friends. I miss you bunches! WE have snow, too. It does suck, I am ready for sunshine. I love your sight, it make me feel like we're keeping in touch! Love ya! Staci
