As we were getting ready to head to the pool tonight, I wanted to make sure the boys had their sun screen on BEFORE we got there, because God only knows when I would catch them and hold them down long enough to get it on them after we got there. The kids love the sunscreen. I bought the aerosol spray kind and they think it tickles when I put it on them. And, they like that they can rub it in themselves (yet more independence, which means, eventually, I will have less to do to get ready to go!).


I got Bryce done first, since Brady was too busy running around the living room naked and freaking me out by pretending to pee on the carpet. After I finished with Bryce, he sat down on the floor and watched me tackle Brady to try and get the swim diaper and trunks on him. I then notice Broadie licking the sunscreen off of Bryce's back. So, I yelled at him to knock it off.


Bryce; "Why can't Broadie lick my sunscreen?"
Me: Because, he will lick it off, and then you will get a sunburn. It will hurt."
Bryce: "Mom, he is licking me again"
Me: *trying to wrangle Brady, who is now slippery with sunscreen* "Tell him to stop being a butthead and quit licking you"
Bryce: "Bobo! Quit being an asshole!"




Uhhhh, yeah. butthead and asshole are NOT the same thing. However, apparently a 4 year old's brain can't comprehend this. We are speaking to daddy about the language issue. Apparently little ears have BIG radars!
