Goodness! June is almost half gone and I realized that I only have ONE post for this month!! We have been pretty busy, though. The weather has been absolutely gorgeous, so we take advantage of it by playing in the pool, going for walks to the park, or just hanging out in the backyard. The boys and I are having so much fun and I really need to upload some pictures.

Today we spent the day at home. It was super hot, so I filled their pool up this morning and, amazingly, the lil buggers had a free for all in that ice cold water. I seriously thought they would want to wait until the afternoon to really get in it and play. But, nope, they were having fun playing whale and shark under the water attacking each other, and then, of course, filling the water guns and attempting to cream me with them. It was fun for a while, but then I turned them on to how much fun it is chasing the dogs with the water guns. THAT wore em out (the kids AND the dogs)! Took a good long nap, too!

This afternoon was more fun in the pool, but it was time for mama to have her revenge from this morning's efforts at soaking me with the water guns. I felt the pool was looking al little low. Of course, I SHOULD hold the hose while filling the pool, being all safety conscious, just in case they trip or something. I had trouble controlling it, though. "Somehow", the kids ended up soaked before they even got their suits back on. Hmmm, I really need to learn how to control that hose better!! As Brycie would say "it was just an assident, mama, it's ok".

Speaking of Bryce, he has a new fascination with body hair. Namely, arm pit hair. He is amazed that Travis has so much and I have none (well, thanks to the razor, that is). He asks daily why daddy has hair and mommy doesn't. Daddy explained it is because he is a man and I am a woman. Bryce doesn't want to be a man, he says. But, he doesn't want to be a woman either (whew!). "I'm just a kid", he says oh so matter of factly. Anyway, it has been a busy 2 days, and I have just been jumping in the shower and not taken the time to shave the pits. So, there is some stubble there, I'll admit it. But, with the heat being as it is and us being outside so much, I am living in tank tops and shorts. Made the mistake of stretching really long this afternoon and Bryce caught a peek at the pits. "Mom! Mommy! Oh, Mommy! You're a MAN!" he tells me, utterly shocked. I looked at him and asked him what he was talking about. "Look! You have HAIR!" (said in a disgusting voice). Man, these kids just don't give a girl a break, do they? Guess I better not forget to shave again tonight.

Brady is doing really well with his speech. He still gets therapy once a week and has a few new words added to his vocabulary. One of the being diaper. But said in an oh so cute southern accent. Sounds more like "Dipuh!" He also has a new habit of stroking his chin and saying "hmmmmmm". I have learned this means "I am going to get into a ton of shit and you don't know what's coming, mama." I should just send him to time out as soon as the chin stroking happens. At least with the weather, I am able to wear him out most of the time, so the house destruction has been kept to a minimum these days.
