Summer Fun has begun!

We spent all morning at the park. The big park. The thing is HUGE! Bryce calls it the "cool park". That was the first thing he asked this morning. "Can we go to the cool park? It is really nice outside!" And, I agreed. It was gorgeous! So, after breakfast, we hurried up and got dressed and walked up to the "cool park". The kids had a blast. We were there for 3 hours. We walked home and had lunch on the deck and then went inside for a nap. After the boys woke up, I surprised them with their swim trunks and a trip to the pool. Bryce has been asking to go tot eh pool for a week now, but, with the thunderstorms brewing, I was kind of scared to attempt it. However, there was not a cloud in the sky and it was about 80 degrees, so off we went.

I don't think I gave birth to children. I believe I gave birth to fish. After dawning their trunks and floaties both of my boys were all to eager to jump right into the deep end, without letting me get in first. After having a minor heart attack, I caught up with them, only to realize that they really did not need my help much at all. They were both kicking the little legs and doggy paddling all over that pool. I am glad I bought the summer pass! I have a feeling we are going to be there A LOT!!

Around 6, the wind started to pick up, the boys were getting tired, and the lightening started to flash, so we packed up and went home for dinner. Since Trav isn't home, we just had leftovers. The boys acted like they hadn't eaten in weeks (I guess 4 and a half hours of swimming does that to little boys!). After dinner, the sky had cleared and the weird weather was gone. So, I got them dressed again (at this point, they were in their undies and a diaper) and we walked up to Dairy Queen for some ice cream cones. By the time we got home, both boys were dripping in ice cream, but they had the most sedated looks on their faces. Into the tubby they went for a quick rinse off, and both were sound asleep before their heads reached the pillow.

Yep, SUMMER IS HERE!!!
