Shopping Rocks!

I am such a girly girl. I truely love to shop. It really doesn't matter what it is for, I will shop for anything. Today was a day like that. We started off this morning waking up early, rushing through breakfast for the boys while getting ourselves ready, and then out the door. We had to be in town by 10 AM. I signed Bryce up at the Outdoor Campus (check em out at www.outdoorcampus.org) for a fun class learning about Bison (or, Buffalo, for those of you too far South to understand the terminology). Because the class is only for kiddos aged 3 and older, I left Bryce and Travis to have their father/son bonding time, while Brady and I hit Target. I wasn't really looking for anything, but I did find a really cute vase to go on one of my brand new tables (and it was on SALE!). Of course, right when I am in the thick of the clearance racks (my downfall, I will admit), I had to hurry up and leave, so that I could go pick my big boys up. Brady was an angel through Target, and we were enjoying ourselves far too much.

The rest of the day, well . . . I think he just can't handle that much testosterone near him. This is the reason I have come up with for his tantrums and fits when we are out and about. Of course, being 2 really doesn't help his situation, either. But, once his brother and daddy showed up, the angel in him left, and it was time to show his true colors. Ah well. He, along with his brother and father, suffered through quite a few stores today. Of course, since I was torturing them with all of this female activity, I let them pick lunch. We ended up at Chili's. Not a bad place, but not really a favorite of mine, either. I was so hoping they would go for the Olive Garden (soup, salad, and breadsticks would have topped my girly day!). Well, by they, Travis, I mean. Bryce always picks Burger King, Culver's, or Wendy's. Seriously, living in Butte, MT his whole life has warped his sense of taste when it comes to eating out.

After lunch, I drug my boys through a few more stores (I am on a curtain mission. Must. Find. Curtains! I feel like I am living in a freaking fish bowl.) before agreeing to some more manly stores (only because they sell curtains, too!). We went to Lowes and Menards, hoping beyond all hope that a piece of tile would jump out at us, slap us around a bit, and tell us to take it home. Alas, the stupid things just sat there on the shelf. I finally gave up looking, and told Travis that, since I was picking out everything else in the house, including the countertops (I am getting the easy part of this deal. After all - how many colors of granite are there??), he could choose the tile color and style. We are still looking, apparently. *sigh*

After 9 hours of shopping and running around, Brady had reached his limit and was quite boistously letting us know, while Bryce decided it was time to turn on the sass. So, home we went. Besides, I had plans for the evening, and I didn't want them too crabby.

After a quick dinner, I set up my living room to resemble a photographer's studio, of sorts. I wanted to get some cute pictures of the boys for Valentine's Day cards. Of course, being as late as it was and a bit tired, they weren't really in the cooperating mood. Although it made for an exciting (and quite funny) shoot, it took forever. I did end up with a few cute shots, and am now photoshopping them. I am hoping the boys will cooperate with me tomorrow and help me make the Valentine's to send out to family and friends. But, that is another day . . .
